Now in their 7th year, the HART Awards (Helping Achieve Reconciliation Together), recognise local Victorian initiatives and champions that make a real difference in their community by contributing to local reconciliation outcomes. The Awards recognise local governments and community organisations/groups that are Helping Achieve Reconciliation Together.
Nominations for the 2020 HART Awards closed on Sunday 29 March.
Reconciliation Victoria and the Victorian Local Governance Association work in partnership to present the HART Awards, supported by Bank Australia and Local Government Victoria. Since the success of the inaugural Awards in 2014, each year has seen an impressive number of quality nominations. The stories of the finalists demonstrate that when Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people and organisations commit to meaningful, long-term, two-way relationships, we can achieve tremendous change.
New Category for 2020 - this year, in addition to local government and community group Award categories, the Awards will include a new category for schools and early years centres.
Due to the current impacts of COVID-19, we are exploring alternate options for how we might deliver this year’s Awards ceremony. Watch this space to keep updated about this year's HART Awards!
