In the lead up to the 2022 federal election, Reconciliation Victoria sought to understand the position and intentions of Victorian house candidates and senators on a range of reconciliation issues.
The survey was well branded as being from Reconciliation Victoria and included key reconciliation topics.
The survey response rate and findings speak for themselves.
Of the 366 Victorian Senate and House Representative candidates invited to complete the survey, candidates from all major parties responded except the Liberal party.
The overall response rate of 17% reinforces Reconciliation Victoria’s view that the federal election campaign has failed to engage reconciliation issues sufficiently.
