Fire Carrier Conference

On Thursday 9 March, Reconciliation Victoria’s Project Officer, Claire Hyett, attended the Secondary FIRE (Friends Igniting Reconciliation through Education) CARRIER Forum at Siena College in Camberwell.
The aim of the FIRE Carrier Project is to promote respect, fairness and inclusion for Aboriginal people in Catholic schools within Victoria.
TheForum was facilitated by the Opening the Doors Foundation's Aunty Vicki Clark, also a member of Reconciliation Victoria's Cultural Council.
Aunty Vicki inducted students, new to FIRE Carrier Program, and all were excited to be supporting their school's reconciliation journey.
Reconciliation Victoria hosted a webinar with Lisa Maloney (Fire Carrier Program) in October 2023.
