Healing Ceremony: National Sorry Day

Time: 1pm - 2pm
Where : Malahang Reserve.

Banyule City Council invites you to join them with Wurundjeri Elder, Aunty Di Kerr who will be delivering a healing ceremony to respectfully acknowledge the resilience of the First Nations community who were impacted by the removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

All community are invited to attend.

This is a public community event, with a Smoking Ceremony at 11am, followed by a performance by Uncle Wayne Thorpe and a lunch of damper and stew.

Join Derrimut Weelam Gathering Place as they put on a lunch in recognition of Sorry Day. During this community lunch DWGP will acknowledge Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week. DWGP will incorporate native bush flavours into the menu for the community to experience.

Film screening of Wash My Soul in the River's Flow

Wash My Soul in the River's Flow is feature documentary about the lives and love story of Ruby Hunter and Archie Roach, as told, in their own songs and spoken word stories in the 2004 concert Kura Tungar - Songs from the River.
