Kingston Grow Together Early Years Conference

In August, around 250 early year educations gathered at the Kingston Grow Together Early Years Conference for a day of learning, inspiration and fun!

Reconciliation Victoria were invited by Reconciliation Australia and City of Kingston to share the Narragunnawali Program. We had a wonderful time sharing the Narragunnawali Program, Australian Reconciliation Barometer, Yoorrook Justice Commission's work on Truth Telling, First Peoples' Assembly of Victoria's work on Treaty, and two tables full of hands on early years related resources.

It was a brilliant morning speaking with the educators who build the foundation of education and reconciliation for our young ones. We also discussed cultural safety, challenges they faced, support and some of the great steps they're taking towards reconciliation and their RAPs on their journeys.

Following the presentation, we enjoyed many conversations, sharing more ideas and resources before exploring the conference filled with great stallholders and more terrific speakers and workshops ranging from bush kinder to Anti-Bias Curriculum approach, and even a musical at the end of the day.  Thank you for this great opportunity to educate and empower fellow educators!
